Early Life

Will Compton, also called “Playoff Willy,” was born on September 19, 1989, in Bonne Terre, Missouri. William Earl Compton III is his complete name. He is known for playing inside linebackers and is a tough and sure-handed athlete. 

In addition, he played linebacker and wide receiver for the football squad at North County High School. One of the top five athletes to attend college out of Missouri high schools was Compton, a first-team all-state selection. He enrolled at the University of Nebraska over Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, and other colleges. He obtained a red shirt in 2008.

He acquired a starter position with the Cornhuskers the following season. Also, he was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten team member and the team captain in 2012. Compton took part in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl after that.

During his four seasons of NCAA football at the University of Nebraska from 2008 to 2012, Will played 50 games and recorded 247 tackles. In 2012, Nebraska’s pass defense was among the best in the country, thanks to his performance.

After that, he signed with the Washington Football Team’s practice squad and, in 2013, as a rookie free agent, made his NFL debut. For the Washington Redskins, Compton played five seasons of football, including one as captain. Later, in 2018, the Tennessee Titans chose Will as an undrafted free agent. In 2019, he played for the Oakland Raiders and New Orleans Saints as a free agent.

The next year, as a free agent, he returned to working for the Titans and was later signed to the team’s practice squad. On December 7, 2021, he was added to the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad. Four days later, people added him to the team’s active roster.

Compton and Charo were wed in June 2021. Charo and Will had their daughter, Cerulean Belle Compton, on April 5, 2022.  Further, he shared the news of his daughter’s birth on Instagram with the caption,
